Broken In

Learn the perfect way to break in a pointe shoe.

In this project, students were to design a book that teaches a process, and itself is made of that process. To be considered a book, the information had to be self-contained, and the book had to include a colophon.

Broken In tells instructs the reader how to properly break in a pointe shoe according to Annaliese Michalski. The box imitates commercial pointe shoe boxes’ design, and all of the instructions are created to look like items which would be found in a pointe shoe box.
